Twas in a dream I first saw her face
While standing on the shores of
A far distant heaven bathed
Within her light
Sparkling rays of sunlight kissed by
The locks of her hair rejoiced
As they fled back toward
A pale blue sky
She stood a motionless silhouette
Or was it me who did not move
Frozen in Time by the scent
Of her velvet skin
All around the sounds of music yet
The only artesian near was her
Smile pounding out an allegro
With my heartbeat
Twas in a dream I first held her close
And our skin became one flesh
Her every breath feeding me
Now I am alive
Yet also there I left her sleeping
Her world to create and dream and
Slowly I slipped away to watch
Her from the shadows
Twas in a dream
Twas in a dream
